2.2 Activate Controller License
- Login to the Controller's Web Interface at http://<controller-ip-address>
- Open the "License Management" page from the side navigation panel under "Administration". All licensed features can be seen in this page.
- Check in the 'View Containers' tab to see if a container exists on the controller. If a container exists, go to step 4. For new licensing without an existing container, select the "Advanced Options" tab and click the "Create container" button. If a container already exists, a new container cannot be created.
- Open the "Offline Activation" tab and click the "Next" button.
- Download the ".WibuCmRaC" file in the download column.
- Open a separate internet browser or tab, navigate to
https://www.icubecontrol.com/licensing,and follow the link to controller feature licensing. Leave the previous web page open in a separate browser/tab for later.
- For the users from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa go to the EMEA section and select 'Activate'.
- Log in with your Yaskawa account for which you have received the feature license.
- Click on the QR link provided in the license pdf. This will add the license to the My License section on the Yaskawa license portal.
- Go to the Feature license that is required to be added to the iCube controller. And click on the 'Bind License Manually'-
- Upload the downloaded".WibuCmRaC" in Step 5 and then save it.
-
After the successful import of the container file from WBM, the notification that the license was bound will come.
-
Again go to the Feature license and Download Bind Response Data.
-
Go to the WBM of the controller --> License Management --> Step 2 and upload the response data downloaded in previous step. After uploading the ".RaU" file go to next step by clicking on 'Next'.
- After successful import, following pop up comes:
- After uploading the bind response data, download the License receipt file and finish the offline activation.
- After finishing the offline activation, the feature license can be checked under the View Containers tab in License Management.
- Last but not least, upload the receipt file downloaded in step 16 in the Feature license in the My License tab of the Yaskawa Business Partner Portal (YBPP)
This concludes the steps required to add the feature license in the WBM of the iCube controller.
