Mismatch Analyzer' tab (EtherCAT Master Online Functions)

This editor tab is only available for the EtherCAT master (i.e., the master must be selected in the tree on the left).

If the connected network differs from the EtherCAT configuration in your engineering solution, a corresponding message appears as desktop notification in iCube Engineer when opening the 'Online Function' editor via the EtherCAT master node.

In the tree on the left, differing slave devices are marked with a red LED-like icon. In the 'Mismatch Analyzer' tab, these differing slaves are also marked red.

To model the topology detected in the network in the engineering project, you can perform an EtherCAT Bus Scan (context menu command on the EtherCAT master node in the PLANT).

Note
  • The EtherCAT bus scan is only available while the controller is not connected to iCube Engineer.
  • Even after the bus scan, slave stations remain marked red in the device tree of the Online Functions and in the 'Mismatch Analyzer' if the corresponding device libraries are missing in your project.

Alternatively, you can also insert the devices via the station editors, using the device list in the 'Mismatch Analyzer' as a guide.
