DC Diagnostics' tab (EtherCAT Slave Online Functions)

This editor tab is only available for EtherCAT slave stations (i.e., a slave must be selected in the tree on the left) which support DC functionality. It displays diagnostic data relating to Distributed Clock settings of the slave and therefore about the entire Distributed Clock system.

The information on this tab is only available/relevant if the slave clock is synchronized with the defined reference clock provider. To enable the DC clock function of the slave, double-click the slave node in the PLANT and open the 'Distributed clock' editor. In the drop-down list, activate the slave clock synchronization.

ElementDescription
Sync Pulse Active'Yes' means that the slave receives a sync pulse.
DC Sync 0 PeriodIndicates the update interval of the slave clock in accordance with the provided DC time (defined in the DC settings of the slave). The value relates to Sync Unit 0.
Currently, iCube Engineer does not support any user-defined DC-related settings. Therefore, the sync period displayed here corresponds to the EtherCAT cycle time.
DC Sync 1 PeriodIndicates the update interval of the slave clock in accordance with the provided DC time (defined in the DC settings of the slave). The value relates to Sync Unit 1.
Currently, iCube Engineer does not support any user-defined DC-related settings. Therefore, the sync period displayed here corresponds to the EtherCAT cycle time.
System Time DifferenceTime difference between the slave clock time and the reference time.
